This auction is for an Antique Martini Enfield Single Shot rifle, made in 1893. It was used by British and Commonwealth troops through out the world. Markings Show "ENFIELD, VR, 1893" The "VR" means it was made during the reign of Queen Victoria. "Victoria Regina".
Stock shows less than normal wear. "Tiger Striping" on the butt stock. Rear handguard has a small crack. Metal shows minor surface pitting, No apparent rust. It has probably been sitting around for a number of years. If you plan to shoot it, be sure you use Black Powder or Cordite loads.A real piece of history.
