Seller's Description:
No overseas bids accepted on this auction. No Exceptions!!! You are bidding on
an original vet bringback K98 Mauser rifle. It is a code S-243 and is dated
1936. Anyone who has been collecting K98's for any length of time can tell you
how hard it is to find a nice un-destroyed prewar 1936 K98. This example
features matching numbers on every part except for bandspring (un-numbered) and
back of bolt assembly (un-numbered). Bolt body is numbered to match but the
back part (gas shield, cocking piece, and firing pin) are completely blank and
must of been replaced in the field as it looks like it has been there since day
one. Metal finish shows even wear overall with probably 60% original finish
present. In fact it has an almost even grey color to it from end to end from
being an actual battle used firearm. Bore is nice. Stock is unsanded and is
very solid for it's age and use and it is numbered to match (numbering faint)
to rifle. It shows the usual wear and tear for a combat gun but still is in
very solid condition overall. Handguard is numbered to match and has fine
hairline crack on top (nothing serious). If you have any questions regarding
condition I have a large group of detailed pictures I would be happy to e-mail
to any interested party. just ask and they will be sent. If you plan on bidding
on this rifle I would strongly recommend requesting these pictures because they
show the rifle from end to end in great detail and will answer many questions.
Complete with sling and rod. Shipping and insurance will be $50 for UPS
shipping to the lower 48 states (includes hardcase). Winning bidders must
respond within 3 days and payment must be received within 10 days of auctions
end. Payment by money order or paypal only. Must have ink signed (red or blue
ink please)FFL or Curio license copy to ship. Good Luck.
