Description

Seller's Description:
This is a late war Colt Commando US Military revolver as issued to the Navy, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, OSS and Defense Factory guards. It is a DSC spec'd Colt manufactured "Official Police" model produced without frills and in its original dualite dark gray matt finish. There were 10 S&W Victory models produced for every one of these Colts. The Navy got the ball rolling for this gun after a sailor was killed by an accidental discharge from a dropped Victory model S&W. (hammerblock broke) This gun is an all original 97% finish (small amt.high edge holster wear) gun with mint bore and perfect original "Coltwood" grips. (Plastic, same material as colt 1911A-1) It is not only very collectible, but is a modern, safe revolver of the highest quality manufacture in a war-time finish. Unfooled with and unabused, locks up tight, shoots great. Look down your nose at your pals' S&W Victories.
